London Beer Festival

June 14/25

Mary and Brenan taking care of business.

The festival was small compared to pre covid festivals.

But our favorites were there.

The Powerhouse girls were there.

I realy enjoy their Cream Ale and their 9to5 lager

We have picked them up at the brewery several times

And our friends from Glasstowhn Brewery there also.

We visited David and his Assistant and were too busy sampling their beer to take a picture.(sorry guys, the beer was good)

Sunday Oct 29/23

Visited Big Family Brewing Company in Sarnia. Had a flight and some lunch.

The 4 in my flight all tasted good, I brought home 8 differnt ones and can't wait to try them out. It's worth a stop ig your in the Sarnia area

We stopped there on Sunday (Sept  17/23) for a beer and to listen to Aiden sing.  The Head Brewer David Draper took some time to have an enjoyable conversation with us. Giving us samples of the brews we hadn't tried and some of his own history. We got our two growlers refilled before we left. The bartender that served us at the bar made it a pleasant stay.

we'll be back many more times for our favorite Smash.

Glasstown Brewing Co.

Made it. Twice now. The beer is good. Especially the smash (brought home 4 growlers so far), my favorite. Pizza is fantastic. You got to go there.  Congratulate Todd and his staff on a great job making this a happening place. I'll be sure to stop as often as I can.

Congratulations to Glasstown Brewery on their opening. I was a lucky one to find one of their Growlers by being in the right place at the right time. I just need to get over there and taste some of their beer and collect my prize.

Our Friend at the Sons of Kent

We met Mary today. She took a few minutes to chat with us (which I hope she doesn't get  in trouble for) on a very busy afternoon. Stop in and see if she is there and make her feel welcome.

Meet Wade, the afternoon guy that keeps everybody in line. Small world, I'm friends with a lot of his realitives.

He not only works behind the scenes but gets out there and serves too. Just ask him, he'll pour you a beer.

If you have been to the Brewery tap room for a beer you probably know Will, the rock behind the bar.

He's been there a long time so he knows all the regulars.

Just ask him.

Meet Rob

Still our Favorite

We were at rhw London Beer and BBQ festival this year

This a blog about two guys who like beer, a father-in-law and a son-in-law  We go to craft beer festivals in London and Windsor and our local craft breweries. I've visited ones in Sarnia, Erieau, London, Waterloo, Elmira, St Jacobs, Niagra Falls, St. Catharines, Niagara on the Lake, Virgil, and more.

We buy craft beers at the LCBO, craft breweries, Beer Store etc. and share them 1 beer and 2 glasses ( two Guys and 'A' Beer) As we taste 2 or 3 at a time and then try to remember a week or more later which one was drinkable and which one we don't want to try again. So for now on we are going to tell you what we think of our tastings. As time goes on I will add breweries I have visited.

Im not going to use descriptions like fuller-bodied, with nuances of fruit or spice and a pleasantly hoppy finish, I'm going to describe them as Good Bad and ugly, and rate from 1 to 10 as how we like them
